Russell Richards is Senior Lecturer in Interactive Media at Southampton Solent University. He has 16 years experience in web design both as a producer and consultant. Within the London Multimedia Lab, he i worked on the CROFT (CADIC Relational online framework and Toolset) web platform for the EU FP7 CADIC project.
His previous work on web platform projects includes web services for an Estate Agency application; an on and off-line platform for an edutainment application relating to Stately Homes and Museums, and a web platform for multimedia art forms. He has produced a number of scholarly articles relating to web development including 'Users, Interactivity and Generation' for New Media and Society Journal. His research areas include web platforms, convergence and collaborative software.
