Confédération Européenne des Associations de Petites and Moyennes Enterprises (CEA-PME)
CEA-PME is an ideologically neutral and non-party Confederation of national business organisations. It represents the interests of small and medium-sized enterprises of all branches and professional groups to the European institutions with the aim to give SMEs a voice commensurate to their importance for the European economy. CEA-PME offers extensive information and advice in all matters related to the European market, the European economic area and promotes the cooperation and exchange of experience of its member associations.
The association comprises 22 members of 19 European countries and represents the interests of more than 150.000 enterprises (see annex for all members). According to the motto "business is local" CEA-PME provides for the correct presence on the spot at the lowest cost. In the Collective research project for SMEs CEA-PME holds the office of the co-ordinator of the consortium caused to the key position and the network which reaches the majority of the entire SMEs community all over Europe, CEA-PME is well suited to co-ordinate the parties from the scientific to applied research according to the specific needs for SMEs in general as well as in specific branches.
